The Granary is a beautifully converted former grain store facing Toft Hill Hall. There are two well appointed double bedrooms both en-suite , one of which can be converted to twin beds if required. Downstairs the open plan living space has a cosy lounge area with wood burner, a dining  area and a well appointed kitchen with breakfast bar. French doors lead onto a sunny walled garden and patio area with further access to a large communal grassed area

The Granary was converted to accommodation in 2011, before that it was used as an agricultural store for the farm.
Toft Hill Hall was bought by the Raw Family in 1927 when the house and buildings were in a fairly run down state. The Granary was a granary/ coach house when it was originally owned by The Carterthorne Coal Co, who also had their offices here, when the area was being extensively mined for coal.

With views across the working farm the cottage is equipped with modern, user friendly kitchen equipment. Finished to the highest standard self catering in the cottage is truly five star. Be it a hearty breakfast before an outdoor adventure, or a cosy evening meal dining with family and friends the appliances and space make it a breeze!

With a wood burning stove, luxury leather sofas and full sky package, the granary makes staying in, a pleasure. Taking in views across the beautiful North Penine Dales, enjoying good food, good wine and good company the high specification, open plan dining area it perfect for entertaining in comfort and style.

With light and spacious bathroom facilities The Granary is finished to the highest possible standard. All power and heat for the bath and shower rooms is generated from a sustainable Air Source Heat Pump and Wind Turbine giving you a constant comfortable temperature whilst making the cottage a sustainable part of the North Pennine Dales landscape.

Sleep

The converted cottage comprises two bedrooms which can be configured for families or small groups. Both rooms have luxury ensuite facilities and have wonderful views across the farm and beyond into the North Pennine Dales.

The wood burning stove is available to use; we have provided firelighters, kindling and a basket of logs to start you off.

The Granary has underfloor heating on both floors; you can vary the temperature by using the thermostats in the rooms.

Dogs

Dogs are more than welcome in the property by prior arrangement.
